Barbati is a village of two parts; the first with a Blue Flag beach, lovely bays and hidden caves nestled between mountains and the Ionian Sea and second on the higher road with a selection of bars, bakeries, tavernas and shops with excellent views along the coast.
Spend your days enjoying the Greek landscape, laze on sunbeds and make the most of safe and sheltered water for swimming and snorkelling.
There are regular buses to Corfu Town, which is about 20km south, but hire a car if you want to explore beautiful villages where Greek life stands still amid traditional stones houses and narrow cobbled streets. You can also check out the deserted village of Old Sinies andAno Perithia, an abandoned Byzantine village. Pantokrator monastery is at the top of Mount Pantokrator.
